Chaos Dwarfs VS Orc and Goblins!

Andy joined me with his Legion of Azgorh extending its might into the wastes to try and crush my goblin force and seize them for laborers in the mines!
We used the Orchard Edition which is 8e army books and magic/magic items and 6e Core rules with some minor tweaks.

Orc ‘N Goblins L-R: Goblin Wolf Chariot, Snotling Pump Wagons X 2, Wolf Riders x10, Trolls X 3, Common Goblins X 40, 1 Giant, Black Orc Big Boss,(General) Night Goblins X 30 with Night Goblin Sorcerer Lord and Common Goblin BSB, Stone Chukka, Squigs X 12 , Night Goblin Archers X 20, Night goblins X 40, 1 Cockatrice and a Bolt thrower.


Chaos Dwarfs L-R: Vanguarding Hobgoblin Wolf riders accompanied by their Khan, clearing the way for the fearsome bull Centaurs and a mighty Iron Demon War Engine. In the middle of the field, The infernal Castellan Marshalls The Infernal Guard, armed with hand weapon and shield or devastating fireglaives, they form a cordon around the powerful chaos dwarf war machines, the Death Shrieker rocket launcher and Magma Canon. Finally, dominating the right side of the field is the general and Sorcerer Prophet, a powerful wizard mounted upon a Bale Taurus.


Chaos Dwarf Turn One

CD left moves up, A mix of Heavy metal sounds, hoofs and paw.
Then, The Dwarf Prophet atop the flaming bull calls a strange Ash Storm around the Cockatrice, making it flammable, plus four other conditions that are equally unhealthy.

A Chaos Dwarf Rocket then screams from the sky, its targeting systems hit with deadly accuracy annihilating the half rooster ALL MONSTER(Storm of magic addition). The cockatrice already hexed, now takes 8 wounds, its Petrifying gaze a threat no more.


In the centre the Magma Cannon erupts a plume of pure death, roasting nearly a dozen Night Goblins, who hold their ground due to the Black orc Big Boss keeping everyone in check.

OnG Turn one

Common Goblins fight amongst themselves even with the big boss barking orders through his metal mask!
A Goblin wolf chariot charges the Hobgoblins and they expertly flee out of range.
The Lumbering Giant moves up to support the pump wagon battery while night goblins and Squigs move up the centre field. On the other flank Night Goblins move to face the threat of the Taurus and Prophet of Hashut.
Finally the Black Orc Big boss and Goblin sorcerer take refuge in a small ruin together, hoping somehow to gain protection and vantage.

The goblin mage blasts the Demon Engine but is not able to scratch it!
The Stone Chukka blows up in a catastrophic misfire!! Those fools!

Chaos Dwarf Turn Two

Wolves rally and the Bull Centaurs charge the chariot ( who fails a fear check) and redirect to engage the pump wagon

The Lord moves, setting off two fanatics who score but a wound. He then drops a double dose of flame template from himself and the bull, both torching many night goblins for Hashut.

The Magma Cannon torches to a cinder the Black Orc General and does two wounds to the Shaman! Oh my goodness!

The Pumpwagon is easily smashed asunder and the giant fails his panic check fleeing the scene! The chariot leaves the battle for good and The night goblins flee from the concentrated breath weapons of the enemy !

Orc n Goblins Turn Two

Goblins rally on the left

The giant passes his rally check( we forgot the fall over check) Fantatics collide in a blaze of glory and another pumpwagon engages the cruel Centaurs! Stupid trolls linger behind.

Night goblins and the BSB move up releasing the fanatics!! One managed to go clear through the dwarf centre but only did a couple wounds!

The Shaman, after joining the unit of common goblins Miscasts a magical vortex and blows himself any many in the unit to green smitherines.

CD Turn Three

Iron Demon and Centaurs engage the brutes of the goblin army. The giant yells and bawls!

Ash storms and arrow hails

Bring it dowwnnnn

Taurus and lord still harass the N Gobs blasting them with two flame gouts, breaking their will and sending them running again.

Another rocket explodes on the common goblins wreaking havoc

OnG Turn four

Fanatic veers right away from the battle. Night Goblins leave the table.

Surrounded by flaming ash, The bolt Thrower actually hits but fails to wound again! Elsewhere the Giant Headbuts the metal machination and disorients its attacks for the turn.

RUNAWAY!

End of Game


Total and utter massacre against the Orc N Goblins! The lords of Tamurkhan obliterated all resistance to their hostile takeover of the Goblin Tribes to the south. More labour for the mines back home!
Lots of bad rolls for the Goblins and great work by the dwarves!
Snotling pump wagons should’nt be fighting S7 opponents (chariots pop@ S 7)
Fences in mid field look cool but are bad for fanatics!
The singular orc in the army needs to pay closer attention to his flock
Keep characters in units or close to, for look out sir rolls!

Hashut is a mighty fine god. May his beard grow ever long and oiled by the servants won in battle!
